 I love taking pieces like this long

chain necklace (that was already in my closet) and making

them into totally new and transitional pieces. Using the

necklace as a belt was such a fun way to add dimension

to the dress!

Craving: Leather Vest

Remember when I told you my MAJOR craving for these burgundy

leather pants? Well I've got some more leather to add to that list!

I've been fancying these bad boys for a little bit...I love that one is more 

understated and classic while the other is edgy and funky. 

So that means they will both serve a purpose, right?! (Justification station)

With all of these leather cravings I'm gonna need to get me an effing

motorcycle stat! Ok, that might be a little aggressive but it 

sounds cool. Duh.

If you couldn't tell I have been on a major "comfy casual" bender and

last night was no exception. I had to head out so I threw on this super soft and 

cozy button up, topped it off with my hat and I was good to go! 

Simplicity at its finest y'all. 

I quickly see this button up becoming one of my "go-to" faves...

And bonus? It's made in L.A., obvi.

This weekend reached temps of a cool 106 degrees. Fur realz. 

Since going out during the day sans clothing wasn't really an 

option (or legal for that matter), I hibernated until hubs and I had

date night! I must say, getting my hair up off my neck was the perfect solution

to dealing with the heat. Easy breezy.

We've had a fairly mild Summer so this chiffon jacket worked

perfectly to head to the coast. Major. Jackpot.

Speaking of mild weather (not), it's supposed to be over 100

everyday this week in my hood so I'll be hiding in

my cave! Oy.

A Week in Insta Review + Some Link Love

The most gorgeous English Roses at my parents that I thought were peonies.

They smelled like they were dipped in rose scented perfume. I kid you not. Amazing. 

I get a lot of emails about the red lip color I use...Well ladies, this Nars Lip Pencil is the JAM!

It stays on foreverrrr and it's matte which I love when wearing a bold color.
