Cropped Denim

Top similar here  //  Jeans thanks to DL1961  //  Louboutin Heels  //  BaubleBar Necklace  //  Ray Ban Shades

There's something about daylight savings in the spring that gets me so excited for the upcoming months. The days are longer, warmer and just feel different! We had some UNBELIEVABLY gorgeous weather this weekend and pulling out these white jeans for a date night just made sense, not to mention they fit so amazing.  These are my 2nd pair of DL's and I am in love!

Side-note: If you are short like me (i'm 5'1 on a good day), then I totally suggest buying your denim cropped! They eliminate any sort of alterations and if you are on the shorter side they will hit you right where you want them too!

Camel Coat

Zara Coat (similar here)  //   Gap Sweater  //  Necklace thanks to BaubleBar  //  Rag & Bone Jeans  //  Chanel Loafers  //  Ray Ban Sunnies

So if you live in LA you know that mother nature certainly has a
mind of her own. It's like she's going thru the throws of menopause.
One week her hot flashes are off the chain and the next week she's over
it and decides she's ready to use a blanket. That being said, I've decided to
suck the life out of this camel coat before she changes her mind again! I've
gotten such great use out of it this season and will be sad when I have to
pack it away until next year. Don't tell me I'm the only one who has emotional
attachments to her clothes?! Pathetic I know, but if you have a vagina then you
know what I'm talking about. Yes I just said vagina.

On that note….Happy Weekend!

Double Denim

Mossimo Shirt via Target //  Vigoss Denim (similar pair here)  //  Celine Sunnies  //  BaubleBar Earrings

A closer look at one of the looks from this post.
My classic go to denim on denim! I wish that these
jeans were still available but truth be told I scored them
a couple years back on MAJOR sale. And when I say sale
I mean like $20. Yeah. Friggin jackpot.

Here are some similar pairs to shop:

Annnnnd.....I'm Back!
Thank you to all that have wished us congratulations and well wishes...our little man is just perfect. This past week has literally been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. There is nothing that can prepare you for motherhood, it really is "on the job training." Isn't it crazy to think that you need a license to drive a car, but almost anyone can have a baby and it doesn't come with a manual or instructions?! Crazy concept isn't it?

Everyone's birth story is so different and there are no two that are the same, and last Friday I went into labor not knowing how my story was going to be written. Needless to say, if you let your mind go it can come up with a thousand different scenarios of what "could happen". I think fear of  the unknown in most situations is one of the hardest things to be comfortable with (for me anyway), so not knowing what to expect was a challenge to say the least.  En route to the hospital with the hubs, I felt like we were in a movie. My contractions were 3 minutes apart, hubs was driving like Franck from Father of the Bride II, and I was grunting like a weight lifter. Great visual, I know. By the time we arrived I was ready for my epidural and I mean READY. And after 16 1/2 hours of waiting to meet my little man, he finally arrived with the most delicious cheeks I ever did see! And that started my love affair with baby Graham. After all was said and done, it turned out the fear of it all was worse than the actual experience. It's true what they say, it's pain that you forget about  (which is why some people have like 19 kids)!

So after a week, we are now adjusting to life as a family of three and trying to find our groove. The first couple days were definitely not easy but we have learned new things everyday and everyday gets a little easier.  It's amazing how many things you can learn from a little tiny person who can't even tell you what's wrong or how to help them. I'm now realizing that not only do you become parents, but you also kind of become mind readers, as you learn to pick up on your baby's signs and signals. Pretty cool.

And that's where and how the new chapter began….

Follow along the new journey on instagram!

Wore this over the weekend and just love this
tuxedo vest! Can't wait to wear it as a dress with
a bandeau underneath after the babe arrives. It was
the perfect date night outfit and definitely made me feel
like a version of old myself :).

Happy first day of May!

Comfy Tee

gifted LAmade Top  //  Pants old (similar here)  //  L.A.M.B. Heels  //  gifted BaubleBar Necklace  //  Zara Bag  //  Ray Ban Sunnies

So pretty much MOST of the time (even when not preggo),
soft and yummy tees are what I like to live in. I mean....that goes
without saying, who the hell likes to be uncomfortable? But,
I guess everyone has different ideas of what "comfort" is. For me,
this shirt IS the definition of comfort. As a matter of fact I am currently
laying in my bed and I haven't taken it off (part of that is I'm too damn
lazy) and I'm more than ok with that!

P.S. How is it the last day of February?!

Oversized Jacket

Shop Frankie's Jacket  //  H&M Top  //  Rag & Bone Leather Pants  //  Converse Sneakers  //  BaubleBar Earrings  //  Ray Ban Shades

Just got this soft neoprene-ish jacket in the store and I haven't
taken it off ALL weekend! It's the perfect amount of cozy and
oversized. On another note, if you saw my instagram post yesterday
then you already got a sneak peek of these amazing flowers! Actually,
it's flowering cabbage and it is one of my most favorites blooms….was
for my very special mama for her birthday!

Anywhoots, are you all back to the grind and ready to conquer
another year? I am!

Apparently I have a thing for it? Who knew.
Can't say enough good things about these pants.

Black + Gold

Gap Sweater  //  Zara Shorts (similar here and here)  //  Lanvin Heels  (similar here)  //  BaubleBar Necklace  //  Ray Ban Sunnies

As if you hadn't noticed by now....
I'm a huge fan of black, white and grey.
Every once and a while I'll throw in some
color if I'm feeling frisky, but some might say
I'm a serious creature of habit! I mean there really is
nothing like head to toe black, right? All about it.

Hope you all have a fab weekend!

Blazer + Booties

Zara Blazer old (similar one here & here)  //  BB Dakota Top  //  Rag & Bone Jeans  //  Giuseppe Zanotti Booties  //  Vintage Judith Leiber Clutch  //  BaubleBar Necklace  //  Ray Ban Sunglasses

We spent this past weekend in Santa Barbara for
a fun wedding weekend at one of my new fave hotels...
The weather was seriously what dreams are made of.
No, for reals. I couldn't believe it how amazing it was!
We snapped these right outside our room to head out for
the night and I wanted to be comfy but still chic! I of
course opted for my favorite pair of jeans (the only
pair of jeans I currently have in rotation right now)
and a great blazer and a perfect pair of booties!
voila.
