I have literally worn jeans everyday for god knows how long and it felt so nice 

to throw on a midi skirt and a pair of heels. And how good is this buffalo check?!

Another thing I should mention is that I love wearing bodysuits with skirts or jeans.

I find them to be sexy, understated and super comfortable…also perfect with high 

waist bottoms!

Funnel Neck

 It finally felt like Fall around here and I was so happy to have a chunky

knit and leather pants on! It's the little things that make us happy, isn't it? 

Speaking of little things, this funnel neck sweater is a must buy for Fall.

Took my little dude to the Santa Barbara zoo over the weekend for his first time.

It wasn't until we arrived at the zoo that I realized I pretty much nailed the Park Ranger

slash Zookeeper look. I mean the hat and fringe really sealed the deal don't you think? ha!

I just added this hat to my growing collection and I'm in love. I have a pretty small head, so

finding hats that actually fit can be a bit challenging….it's all about sticking with what you know!

For all you that have trouble finding hats, I highly recommend this one!  

Doily

Wore this on over the weekend while we were away. I typically

don't usually gravitate towards things that look like they belong under

pastries, BUT this I could not pass up. A good doily never hurt anyone!

On another note, every time I wear these jeans I get a ton of inquiries on where I got them.

Truth is, I found them 4 years ago on sale for a whopping $20 and they are my all time faves.

There's just something so fresh and fun about wearing them, don't you think?

Besides black, neutrals are my other favorite colors to wear….especially for

Summer. I wore this look to head out for a Sunday dinner and I basically went shopping 

in my own closet! I had "nothing" to wear (the most ridiculous but true statement to ever come 

out of a woman's mouth), so I started with the white denim and decided to go all neutral.

There really is nothing like repurposing old clothes and making them feel like new!

Tropical Leaf

This dress is without a doubt one of my most favorite pieces I've purchased all summer. I bought it on a whim because I of course waited until the absolute last possible minute to find something for our friend's wedding in Mexico. Nothing like shopping the night before you leave! Honestly, I gave birth to a child and also somehow birthed my brain in the process. I'm lucky that shit is attached!!

 I seriously walked into about 10 stores and was about ready to throw in the towel attend the wedding in my freaking bathing suit. I just so happened to see this little ditty staring at me in the corner of the store. I was being a negative Nancy and immediately thought, "it's not gonna be cute but I guess I'll try it anyway!" Boy was I wrong. It was perfect and fit like a glove. Hows that for fate?!

Also, happy last day of July??? WTF. How did that happen?

Fresh off my 36 hour trip to Mexico and I'm still coming down from

it. Nothing better than being in the same place with 20+ of your closest

friends! It was truly a party to say the least. I wore this out one night 

and it ended up being one of my faves! It was literally 85 at night with 

what felt like 80% humidity, which meant that no one was hot and sweaty. 

I kid.

The only logical thing to do when it's hot as balls outside, is to find

a sheet or mumu throw a belt on (bra optional) and head on your merry way!
