Behind the Scenes with Simon G. & Marie Claire

Last week I had the pleasure of attending an absolutely STUNNING (the pic speaks for itself obviously!) luncheon with Simon G. Jewelry and Marie Claire. Food and Diamonds? How could I resist! I got to take a special tour of the Simon G headquarters to really see the process of what goes into making fine jewelry. It was fascinating!

We toured the offices of this amazing family run business. It was so heartwarming to hear that Simon himself is still VERY involved with all facets (no pun intended) of his business.

The attention to detail was unreal! This was the diamond sorting room where they have actual people (not machines) sorting thru the diamonds to ensure that you are getting the best possible quality diamonds.

All of Simon G.'s pieces begin with a sketch and from there, a CAD model is created to view the design in 3-D. That is where they can review every single detail of the piece. Above is a casting jewelry tree that is used to cast the pieces once they have been designed.

At the Simon G. headquarters, they literally keep every single piece by code number that they have ever made in their archives!

Again, attention to detail is not spared. Even the jewelry boxes have lights that go on when you open them! Um…genius.

OBSESSED with the ear cuffs and crawlers from their new collection. Need. Them. All.

The spread of food was out of a freaking magazine!

It's safe to say….A good time was had by all!
