DIY: Studded Pumpkin

I love getting creative for the holiday's especially with my tablescapes! This was such a fun project to do and literally took about 20 minutes once I had all my supplies ready to go.

 What You Need
1 Small Pumpkin (scraped and clean)
100 gold studs (quantity will depend on size of pumpkin)
1 block floral foam, soaked in water
1 gallon size ziplock back (cut seal off)
Flowers of your choice
3 tangerines
3 wooden skewers
Scissors & Garden Clippers

The first thing you will want to do is cut and scrape your pumpkin clean! Make sure you cut the opening big enough to fit the floral foam. Now you can start making your stripes with the studs. My pumpkin had ridges in it so I followed the lines all the way down.

Once you have that done it's time to get to work!
Take your gallon ziplock bag, cut the seal off of the top and the line the inside of the pumpkin with the bag. Once the foam has been completely soaked in water place it vertically into the bag and press down. You will end up with a good amount of foam sticking out of the pumpkin. Take a knife and cut the excess off the top.

Place the filler/greenery along the bottom and then start adding in your flowers. The last step will be to add your tangerines to fill in any holes you might have!

Voila!

Pieces of Me

My Thanksgiving table.
Loved using these inexpensive glass candles (also known in my latin household as the candle we light to pray for every damn thing) from the grocery store to decorate the table with! I gathered leaves from our giant maple tree and spray painted them gold for each place setting along with mini gold pumpkins.
Was so fun setting and hosting our first Turkey Day!
The amazing words of Nelson Mandela. #rip

An insane December sunset in my hood.

I gave our front door some Christmas cheer! Bought these wreaths already done and added the
burlap ribbon to personalize them a bit.

Happy weekend.

Thankful

(image via)

We often forget to reflect on all of the things we are thankful for on a daily
basis, but Thanksgiving is a reminder to stop but once a year and remember
all the good that we have in our lives. I am thankful for so many things in
my life and feel so blessed! (I could rattle off my list but I'll spare you my sappy self!)
I hope that wherever you are, you have a warm heart and full belly today!
Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving.

Nicole
