Strong Shoulders

Blazer: Funktional (similar), Top: Husband's (similar here), Jeans: Edun (similar here), Heels: YSL (similar)
Clutch: Vintage Judith Leiber, Necklace: F21

When I was a kid, my oh so stylish mom always rocked the hell out of shoulder pads. Those of course were the days when shoulder pads were not only radical but also removable so you could take them out and rock them with every outfit imaginable. I would always take them out of her jackets and put them in mine and prance around! What can I say I wanted to be just like her...and still do ;)!

When I scored this jacket last year it took me back to those days and I instantly fell in love with it (not to mention the badass velvet fabric). I was chilly on this day (anything below 65 is considered chilly...total weak sauce, I know) so I paired it with one of the hubs flannels and was extra warm and cozy to take on the day!

Nicole

The shoulder pads create such a dramatically chic look. Adore the buffalo plaid paired with it. x

Oh yeah, I remember those days of removable shoulder pads. My aunt had several set of these, all sizes you could possibly imagine.

I have a special place in my heart for all things '80s. Minus the shoulder pads. Although I do get crazy when I spot a blinged out Dallas style gown.....

So cute! Only you could make flannel + sky high heels look like a perfect match.
